Solar lamps in remote villages

Solar lamps have been installed in different places of Mahashila rural municipality-7, Lunkhudeurali in Parbat.
The installation is made to ease locals to walk in the evening and night time and also to reduce robbery and road accidents. Jeevan Bikram Uchchai, spokesperson of the rural municipality, shared the solar lamps were placed in each settlement, thoroughfares, schools, health posts and public locations.
Solar lamps were put up with the financial assistance of the rural municipality to ease people’s movement even during load-shedding hours and check the incidents of robbery and theft, he added. He informed that solar lamps have been installed in around a dozen areas from Lunkhudeurali. The rural municipality has provided Rs 500,000 for the setup of solar lamps.
It is taken importantly when the inflow of domestic and foreign tourists to the area is on the rise of late. The major tourism hotspots of the area are Asia’s biggest Mahasheela, Dhuwakot, Chisapani, different caves, monasteries and indigenous cultures.
